Into the Forest (2015)

• Instrumentation: Piano, string orchestra.

• Description: This piece has several sections, each sort of depicting a picture of the forest, strung together like a film score medley. One section has the violin playing trills like birds; another is more playful with pizzicato in the whole orchestra. The original piece was finished in February 2014, and in January 2015 new sections were added and revised for the performance of the work by the Waubonsie Valley High School Symphonic Strings to perform at a March concert.
